You Can Find Us this Week At...

This week, you will be able to find four members of the Rio Grande Artisans selling and displaying their creations at the ASUNM Craft Fair. The location for this will be on the UNM Main Campus in the SUB Ballroom. The dates for the show are: Nov. 28, 29 and 30. Hours are: 11-7 (W and Th) and 10-6 on Friday. Please be sure to come by and see us! See previous posts on this blog to get a small glimpse of what we are selling.
We will also be doing a trunk show in a private home in Nob Hill this Sunday, Dec. 2nd. from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The address is: 452 Graceland Dr. Head east on Coal Ave. towards Washington St. Graceland Dr. is the one right before Washington; turn right (south) on Graceland.
Escape from mall madness! Come by and shop for those people you know that are impossible to shop for! Enjoy festive food and drinks and browse an exciting array of art and handmade gifts. You will find ornaments, jewelry, mixed media art, fiber art, sculptures.
Why buy commercial? Why buy stuff made in China? Buy local and buy handmade!

Earrings

Here are some more of my earrings that I'll be selling at the ASUNM Craft Fair this week. Be sure to come by and check us out; there will be four of us in booth number 70 (look for the sign that says "Rio Grande Artisans").

I will also be selling hand made cards, photography and hand pulled prints. We will also be doing a trunk show on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1-2 at 452 Graceland Dr. in Nob Hill (nearest cross streets are Coal and Washington). We will be posting info on this show as the ASUNM one comes to a close this Friday.

She's been working on even newer and she thinks even better designs than these for the upcoming ASUNM Arts and Crafts Show this week on campus at UNM in the SUB Ballroom. Hours are Weds 11-7, Th 11-7, Fri 10-6.

Regina Portscheller, Omnium-Gatherum Arts

Attached are a few pictures that represent my latest work. I have been concentrating on wood, polymer clay, and acrylics for the most part. These pieces start with just a basic foundation of a wood panel, a simple wood box, or anything I can use to build mixed media mosaic collages. My pieces incorporate clay tiles (all hand-made by me), acrylics, beads, and bits of fibers and found objects. The first two pictures show me creating my pieces. They really do come from humble beginnings!
